So these 9 months quickly came and went, I'll be meeting my sweet boy on Friday. I turn 40 weeks today and although the doctor gave me the choice to schedule my c-section anytime after 39 weeks I wanted to wait as long as possible, to see if my body would do its 'thing'. I discussed having a vbac with my Dr. early on and there was some criteria that needed to be met. Unfortunately, they would not be able to induce labor when trying to go for a vbac and since my body has done no progress-zero zip (I have not dilated not even 1/2 a cm and cervix is still compltely closed) and the baby is measuring big the odds were really against me. Therefore I'll be delivering at 40 weeks 2 days.We'll be heading to the hospital at 4:30 in the freakin' morning, surgery is scheduled at 6:30am, God willing.
Today is my last day at work and I'm running around like crazy trying to finish up on any last minute things for my sub. I've felt great up to now and I'm thankful for that so I can save up all my days to be with my little one.
I do admit its a little nerve wrecking to have a 'scheduled' delivery and having surgery and all but today as I was going through Gabriella's school (daycare) work from last week I came across a coloring sheet she had done with the bible verse Genesis 26:24 "Fear not for I am with thee", I thought it was very appropriate :)
